It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I had on a black wig--pretty atrocious! Nevertheless, we were Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, and Snoopy. By the way, if you are over the age of 30, do not ask the kid who helps you to your car with groceries if he knows about the Peanuts. It will make you feel really old.Daniel was sound asleep on Welles' shoulder for the first 30 minutes of Dawson's Fall Festival. He woke up to see both sets of grandparents and Aunt B, as well as the sensation of a big cartoon head on his own head.
Saturday night we went trick-or-treating with some dear friends, Wendy and Lily Cate. Lil was so sweet to share her trick or treating experience (and candy) with Daniel. We then went to the halloween party that we go to annually and enjoyed spending time with friends. Every year we hope and cross fingers that we will win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the costume competition; every year we get beat out by someone with a more creative or attention grabbing costume (thanks this year go to the blind AU ref!)
Sunday night (true Halloween) we tried something different and waited in the driveway for trick-or-treaters. This was actually something I think we will do again. It kept Missy from freaking out everytime someone came to our door, and the weather was nice. It was also easier to visit with other parents.
We hope everyone else enjoyed Halloween 2010!

Adorable costumes! You guys look great! I like the idea of sitting in the driveway for trick-or-treaters. My plan for someday when we live somewhere normal is to have one of those neighborhoods where everyone sits in their driveways and has wine while the kids play in the cul-de-sac. We'll see if that ever happens!
