Daniel's Likes

Daniel loves Missy, and anytime he is sad, she comes around to cheer him.  We just need to work on his "sweet touch" with her.  Missy seems to like him, too!

Daniel also loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  We watch this every morning as I am getting ready for work. 

"Hi Everybody!  It's me, Mickey Mouse!"

..."Say, you want to come inside my clubhouse?"

"Well all right!....."

We had tickets to the SEC Championship baseball game for Friday night, but the rain kept us from going.  Daniel's 4 new incoming teeth didn't help, either.  Still - had to get a picture with Daniel in his Bama gear!  Thanks to Bess and Jones and the Stembridges for the outfit!

Lastly, we put the johnny jump up in the doorway - he loves it! 

Absolutely FREE!

I love the Publix Baby Club.  The things in the picture were free.  The book arrived a couple of weeks ago, but I decided to include it in the picture anyway--it's a $20 book!  I have been obsessively couponing for the last couple of months, and finally got around to using my baby club coupons.  Persistence really pays off!  On today's bill alone, I saved over $62.

Tom Petty and our little heartbreaker

Welles and Daniel watched a Tom Petty concert tonight in HD.  Apparently, Daniel loves the beat.  Watch his legs as he listens to the song.

Noccalula

Who knew Noccalula Falls now has a petting zoo, a train that runs through the park and a lion!?!? Daniel and I had a great time meeting one of my dearest friends at Noccalula with her Mom. See below for some pictures!

2010 UAB Spring Commencement

I am so proud of this man!

This is BIG!  Today Welles graduated, and I have never been so proud of anyone!  If you haven't guessed, this is the big news that I was referring to a few posts ago.

Congratulations, Welles!

I was able to help with directing parts of the ceremony, and it was so much fun to be behind the scenes for graduation.

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend! As of Friday morning - we did not have any big plans for the weekend. By late Friday afternoon, we decided to go to the UAB Dollars for Scholars 5K/10K. Daniel had his first experience with a mascot - see below for his reaction.

There was a dinner and band that played after the walk. It was a great way to spend a Friday evening!

Saturday morning, we went to Homewood High School's stadium and walked in the Alabama Kidney Foundation Walk-a-Thon with the Henrys. We had such a good time - the weather could not have been more perfect!

Later that afternoon, Daniel witnessed his first parade for "I Love Homewood Day." He was fascinated by the big trucks, the band, and of course the firetrucks!

Katie, Alison and I went to lunch at our favorite mexican spot, and enjoyed a fun girl's day out.

As of today, I am one year older. This year started out with a great weekend!
