UAB is where Welles and I have a common ground in Alabama sports. UAB has been good to us - for providing a job for me and putting us both through school. We have really enjoyed the UAB Basketball games the past few years. My parents babysat for us last weekend so we could see UAB get stomped by Marshall. Usually they win the games that we attend, but even though the loss was disappointing, we had a good time. I can't wait until we can take our little buddy to the games...I think he already has a new friend in Blaze!!

Congratulations Welles!

About a year ago, Welles told me that he planned to run the half-marathon in the Mercedes Marathon 2010. Today, he fulfilled that statement! I am so proud of Welles and all of the work that went into preparing for this race.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

Blue Eyes!

Two months

We went to see the pediatrician Tuesday for Daniel's two month check-up. He weighed 12 lbs 4 ozs and was 23.5 inches long. He was in the 75th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. These pictures were taken just before we loaded into the car.

They acknowledge each other's existence!

Up until this morning, Daniel and Missy have not really acknowledged that the other exists. Normally, Missy will turn the other way or remove herself from any situation where Daniel is involved. This a.m., however, Missy came over and sniffed Daniel's feet while he was playing on the playmat. Then, while I was getting ready, I brought Daniel into the bedroom, and Missy was sitting on the other side of the bed. I looked over, and Daniel looked behind him to smile at Missy! We hope they will be good friends in the future.

By the way, this week marks 7 years that we have had our sweet Missy Lou. Missy, you have brought us so much happiness through the years, and we love you!
