We finally made it home yesterday afternoon after a night of designing an escape plan with my coworkers and sister. I am so thankful that she works with me! I must say that our company took amazing care of us. They provided dinner Tuesday night at no charge, a hot breakfast Wednesday morning, Lunch on Wednesday and then dinner again last night for those that stayed. It was a bad situation that they really made so much better to handle! My sister and I slept (for an hour and a half) on the floor of my manager's office.

We were so cold and so sore from sleeping on the floor that we drank coffee and planned how to get Daniel and Get home on Wednesday. I don't have many pictures from that experience b/c I accidentally left my cell phone at home Tuesday. I had planned to go out and get it on my lunch hour, but you all know what happened - Snow! I am thankful that I didn't get out in the mess on Tuesday. Daniel spent the night at daycare. His teachers and the staff at Bright Horizons are AMAZING and deserve gold medals. They were so positive and the kids had a fun sleepover. Bonnie and a couple of coworkers walked with me to pick up Daniel a mile from my office. The road that our office is on is very curvy and hilly. We saw so many wrecked and abandoned vehicles as well as 18 wheelers that were stuck. It was really a mess! Daniel was so brave and walked back to my office. We ate lunch in my office cafeteria and then got a ride from one of Bonnie's coworkers to the outer edge of our neighborhood (about a half a mile away) where Welles picked us up in his truck.

This morning, we woke up to 11 degree weather and when it warmed up into the 20's, Daniel and Welles went out in the snow to do some sledding. Daniel loved it! We used an old tupperware tub and it was the perfect sled for Daniel.
